Modern X-ray complete system
X-ray is a quick, painless test that produces image of the structures inside your body particularly bone . X-ray beams pass through your body, and they are absorbed in differents amounts dependings on the density of the material.
Problems that may be detected during an X-ray include:
- Bone fractures and breaks
- Tooth problems, such as loose teeth and dental abscesses
- Scoliosis (abnormal curvature of the spine)
- lung problems, such as pneumonia and lung cancer
- non-cancerous and cancerous bone tumours
- heart problems, such as heart failure
- breast cancer
As they pass through the body, the energy from X-rays is absorbed at different rates by different parts of the body. A detectors on the other side of the body picks up the X-rays after they've passed through and turns them into an image.
